Other Things:

I run a pick up bball program after school in the fall, but during the winter and spring I've been an Assistant Track Coach at St. John's HS since 2003-Present. Recently, I've been helping out the HN girls' track teams as well and you can often find me on the sidelines supporting all our teams throughout the year

I've also self-published 6 books (so far, with a few others in the works!) regarding personal philosophical studies & life experiences regarding my Catholic Christian faith journey. These can be found at: www.lulu.com/spotlight/sharkangel/ Check them out!!!

#1 - Midnight Streams - Spirited Discovery of Flowing Insight... written mostly at age 22, I reflect on life and its big questions about faith, purpose, meaning, free will, and living a life of gratitude...

#2 - Midnight Streams - To Be a Saint... faced with a difficult test of faith, I reflect on my realization of God's presence and grace in the aftermath of unexpected loss and internal torment which reestablished my life of purpose, understanding, and peace

#3 Midnight Streams - Canticum Caritatis (A Song of Charity) [with an Imprimatur from Bishop McManus] - A series of rhyming poems take the reader on a journey through salvation history from Genesis to Revelation, thereby streamlining the theme of God's love communicated in Sacred Scripture.

#4 Midnight Streams - Untwisted Truth - Reflecting on a series of discussions and ideas from my former 10th grade Theology class, I parody 15 relatively popular songs to express ideas related to God, Christ, the Bible and other Christian themes.

#5 Midnight Streams - Untwisted Truth (Volume 2) - Deprived of daily Theology lessons, my summer freedom resulted in a compilation of 50 chapters... that's right 50!!! which takes 50 of my favorite alternative rock songs from the 1990s and parodies them like volume 1 to express ideas about God and his Church... featuring bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

#6 JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!!! Midnight Streams - A River of Testimony (Volume 1) - A compilation of faith witness testimonies in response to an epiphany I had regarding the lost sheep parable Jesus tells in the Gospel of Luke... if you'd like to share part of your faith story with me for volumes 2 or 3... let me know!!!

At my parish, I also assist with high school faith formation classes, including Confirmation prep along with other youth ministry initiatives. Every year you can find me at Mary Queen of the Rosary's Annual International Bazaar with Holy Name Students running the kids' games on the first or second weekend in June.

Besides my passion for Sacred Scripture, prayer, science and education, I continue my athletic career by competing in various track & field events. In fact, this summer I became the Maine State Decathlon Champion (for my age group)... so what if I was the only competitor... I still had to complete all 10 events!!!

Beyond track and field, I enjoy shooting hoops, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing (indoors only so far!), skyzone, American Ninja Warrior obstacles, soccer, the beach, mountain biking, amusement parks, video games, comedy tv shows of all kinds, Superhero/action/comedy movies, Star Wars, LOTR, Harry Potter and similarly themed things.

Oh ya... people, students especially always ask how old I am... "old enough to know better ;) "
